The Nocturne Residence

Conceived as a darker and more immersive expression of contemporary residential design, The Nocturne Residence is shaped by smoked timber, charcoal surfaces, warm neutral flooring and a restrained approach to lighting.

Full height joinery and large timber volumes form part of the architecture itself, integrating storage and functional elements while maintaining clean sightlines throughout the home. Sculptural furniture and softer upholstery balance the stronger architectural forms, while herringbone flooring introduces warmth and movement through the darker palette.

Lighting is treated as an architectural element rather than decoration, with linear tracks, concealed illumination and integrated joinery lighting used to create depth across the darker surfaces. The result is a moody contemporary interior that feels dramatic and intimate without becoming heavy or severe.
