Design Concept · Contemporary Industrial with African Influences
Interior Design & Furnishing · Luxure Interior Architecture
Working with the home’s bold industrial architecture, the design introduces warmth, softness and subtle African influence without competing with the existing concrete, steel and dramatic double volume proportions.
The interior was repainted to create a continuous neutral foundation, with warm grey feature walls used to add depth without cooling the palette. A reeded concrete composite wall cladding was introduced behind the television with integrated LED detailing, drawing the eye upward through the six metre volume and emphasising the height of the double volume windows and existing architecture.
Reeded glass was added to the bedroom and loft glazing to increase privacy while softly diffusing natural light, while new wallpaper in the guest bathroom brought the smaller space into the wider design language. Warm timber, tactile upholstery, sculptural forms and carefully selected African inspired elements complete the scheme, balancing the raw industrial shell with a more layered, grounded and inviting interior.
